Emirates to resume services to Birmingham from September
Emirates is continuing to rebuild its network, resuming passenger services to major gateways across the world. The airline announced that it will resume flights to Birmingham from September 1, operating four weekly B777-200LR flights between its Dubai hub and the UK airport.
This means that the airline will now operate 36 weekly flights out of the UK from Birmingham, Glasgow, London Heathrow, and Manchester airports.
Additional services resuming in August include a twice-weekly B777-300ER service to Cebu in the Philippines (August 20), and a three-times weekly B777-200LR service to Houston (August 23).
The latest resumption announcements means Emirates will fly to a total of 74 cities, including six cities in the US.
