Thailand is planning to re-open to foreign visitors by forming “travel bubbles” with countries and regions that have managed to contain Covid-19, according to a report from local newspaper Bangkok Post.
The country banned entry to foreigners in late March.
Among the places being considered are New Zealand, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, South Korea, Vietnam and some countries in the Middle East, according to the report.
Under the proposed plan, each country would adopt “health screening” measures for arriving visitors.
