Your Weekly Update

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and keeping yourselves entertained!
As you can see from our latest blog posts, now is a good time to take stock and potentially review your travel spend. If you would like a report of your spend over the previous 12 months please get in touch with me and we can also help to analyse your spend and look at ways we could make further savings or amend your travel policies. I’m currently also advising a number of clients on travel policies who haven’t previously had them, I’m sure you would benefit by having greater control if you fall into this category.
Take a minute to look at the effects of sleep or rather the lack of it has on your employees whilst working away. With this in mind is it worth trying to save a few pounds if your employee is not on their A-game when they get there? You are going to the expense of having a travel programme so you want to maximise your ROI. Consider our room upgrades we highlighted last week or perhaps an upgrade to premium economy or business class for trips over a certain length of time. The statistics suggest it’s worth it!
During this period of self-isolation the effects on our mental health can be quite detrimental, it’s ok working from home but I certainly miss the daily interaction with colleagues and the office banter so I’ve put together a few tips to hopefully help us all during this period.
Finally, it’s important to look at the importance of business travel to your business. I’m sure we’ve all realised recently the importance of face-to-face meetings (Skype, FaceTime, etc are just not the same). Some interesting stats about staff being more creative when travelling and I’m sure when we get over this terrible virus we will all want to get back to it ASAP!
Take care.
